Hey all!
Closing Night, the sort of spiritual sister of The Industry, has returned for a second season. If you’re not familiar with Closing Night, I’ll fill you in. Host Patrick Oliver Jones (a seasoned theater actor himself) dives into the history of short-lived Broadway shows and finds out just went wrong.
Season one focused on the many short-lived shows at Broadway’s Marquis Theater. This time around Jones is setting his sights on shows that didn’t officially open. It’s a fun series and since I’m an editor and producer on this series I have to tell you that I highly recommend it!
The first episode of season 2 is out right now, telling the story of the wonderfully titled Annie sequel, Annie 2: Miss Hannigan’s Revenge.

Also: If you’re wondering about The Industry, you know the podcast that this newsletter is SUPPOSED to be about, well wonder no further. I can promise you at least one new episode will be hitting your feed in February.
Lastly: I will be at ON AIR FEST on February 21st, in Brooklyn. If you’re not familiar, ON AIR FEST is a super hip and cool podcast festival that features plenty of narrative podcast people. It runs from Feb. 19-21, though I will only be there on the 21st.
You can get tickets at OnAirFest.com. If you’re there and you see me, please say hello.
